the whole installation is completed just fine, but the portal is giving an error on installation, error 80004005 and won't install, nothing to do with it, we've tried to reinstall 4 times,

Does anyone know about what could be the way to fix or workaround that? an .exe that we can install separatly maybe?

Any help would be appreciated

1. check if dbase/portal.mdb exist.
2. In settings/settings.asp make sure lines 6 - 10 look like this

'THIS SETS UP THE CONNECTION TO THE DATABASE IF YOU USE ODBC DATA SOURCE
'UNCOMMENT THE LINE BELOW. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE SEE http://www.aspportal.net/index.asp?inc=faq
'dnsname= "portal"
dnsname= "Data Source=" & Server.Mappath("dbase/portal.mdb") & ";Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;"
