Dear all,

Hi! My name is Steven and I'm fairly new to SAP. I'm actually working on ABAP/4 using the minisap 4.6D workbench.

Suppose I want to transport my development classes, functions, programs, screens to other sap system, how do I do it? Some people say using transaction SE09?

I'll be most grateful if someone can show me step-by-step on doing it.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Steven

Hi kkcsteven,
Following steps will help to transport your object ( say report)
   1. You have to first configure transport management system ( STMS ) - This is normaly done by sap basis admin.
   2. When you create a object, I t will ask for a request. E.G during program creation , It will ask for development class and request. ( development class is link with transport route but don't worry , You can transport local object )
   3. Write your code and test it properly. After finalise your code, go to SE09 or SE10 or or SE03(request search)
   4. Select your request from list or you can get your request no from ABAP aditor Menu ( Utilities--versions--version management)
   5. Relese your task and request  contains your object.
   6. During relase time , It will create files in following derectory (/usr/sap/trans/data and /usr/sap/trans/cofiles) with you request no.
   7. Copy that files onto target system and import it with tp import ..... facility or you can import it with STMS if you have proper STMS configuration between systems.

Thanks and Regards,
Hiren
