16bit problems in dos prompt -win2000

hello everybody

 iam using win2000 prof .
 
 if i go to command prompt and run addplication like
 turboC by executing the file tc.exe
 windows is popping up a message as follows
 
 C:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe - tc
 SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSEt\control \Virtual DeviceDrivers.VDD.
 VirtualDeviceDriver format in the registry is invalid
 choose close to terminate the application
 
 
 then it shows cancel ignore box
 if i ignore the application turboc is working
 pls help me to recupretae frm this problem
 bcoz whenever i open c copmiler iam fed up

 with regards
