Problems sending Email messages in HTML format
For some reason my Outlook 2000 will not send email messages in HTML format. It goes through the entire process and appears to send the message and even puts a copy in my Sent box, but no one ever receives the message including myself on another account with the same ISP. If I send the email in plain text, it almost always arrives in a matter of seconds. At first I thought the problem was Charter Cable, but I found I can send HTML formatted email messages just fine using Netscape Navigator 7.
Has anyone run into this situation before and know of a solution?

Check to see what version of outlook do the people who receive your email have got . Because if they have outlook 97 they cannot receive in html format as outlook 97 doesnot have the capability

Okay, I've found that I can send an HTML formatted message from Outlook 2000 on my desktop. I did notice something different about the headers though. The desktop has a later version MSHTML. I re downloaded and installed SP3 on my lap top, but it didn't change the version number. I will paste below the header source from my laptop that is not sending messages and then from my desktop that is. If the difference is just an update, what update do I need and where do I get it???
LAPTOP - Not Sending:

After Outlook stopped sending PlainText messages as well, and I lost a days worth of work trying to diagnose and fix the problem, I finally was able to resolve it by uninstalling and then re-installing Outlook 2000. After which, I can once again send emails in plain or HTML format. So if you don't have any objections Sun-ray, I am going to ask that this question be deleted or PAQ'd.

open Outlook. go to tools --> options --> Mailformat and select html under "compose in this message format".
Also when you say it is going to sent folder , you can actually see the html format there but none is receiving any email. Are they receiving email but that is not in html format or there is no email atall ?
