Hi all experts!

I have installed a D-link dfe-690txd fastethernet card on my laptop Compaq Armada e700, but I cant get to the internet.

Previously it was using modem to connect to theinternet and it worked fine, but when I want to connect through LAN I cant get online.

Go to device manager . Right-click on the ethernet card.go to properties and check to see if
the hardware runs fine

Have you done the LAN connection correctly ? check to see if you static IP (if yes, manually configure it correctly)

Go to control panel --> network connections --> LAN connection . Right-click it .go to properties.
enable tcp/ip . go to properties and check IP address

Are you connecting via a router ? If yes, try directly connecting from the LAN port (on wall) or from modem ..
