Occassionally we will get some error (badmail) in our error log file indicating that some emails that are supposed to be launched from an .asp web based tool did not go out.

The specific error message contained in the BDR file is:

Unable to deliver this message because the follow error was encountered: "Error is processing file in pickup directory.".

The specific error code was 0xC00402CE.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing these errors?

This sounds like a windows mail problem, not a sendmail subject. You'd have better luck asking about this in the Exchange topic area.

I got the same error because "from address" was null (or blank).

I did have a file attachment. I am not sure of the server config (as it was our customer's server); but I think they do not want mails to go out without proper email addresses.

Is there a line in the *.BAD file that has the from address in it? I ask because in my badmail failures I do not see this line, but the mail is sent from my program with a from address that it's reading from a SQL table.
