help connecting to a comp through network

hi all, i have a share that's on a machine    \\10.0.0.243\main\

i can get on using my machine, but when i go to someone elses machine, it says it can't find it. How do i resolve this?

What is the network like?  Is it a large network?  If so, are all the machines on the same subnet?  What happens if you just go to \\10.0.0.243\ ?  Can you ping that IP address?

it's a small network, all the machines are on the same subnet. i will have to check on the ping and on the \\10.0.0.243\. The machine can ftp to that number but it can't see the share. ??

k guys, i resolved the problem, for some reason when i turned on the DHCP on the firewall, that machine worked. Weird, cause everyone else worked fine before that, thanx all
