Unable to attach file to message in Outlook 200 - unhide attachment bar
Dear Sir,
I am using Outlook 2000 with Windows 2000 server operating system. Suddenly I found that I am not able to attach any file to my outgoing messages i.e when I am attaching any file its not getting attached and not received by the recipient. When I am inserting file either by clicking on the attach button on the toolbar or from the insert menu, I can see the file icon with file name on the message window at the place of my coursor position but Attachment bar below CC and TO button. I have not changed any settings of attachment.
with thanks and regards,

Unable to send attachments in Microsoft Outlook

If you are sending from outlook, try going to Tools -> Options -> Mail format and changing the message format to HTML. If you were using Microsoft Outlook Rich Text, then attachments get embedded into your message and Outlook Express users can view these embedded attachments. When you switch to HTML format you will see that the attachements are placed in a seperate frame at the bottom of the message, rather then in the body of the message.

I think the problem lies within Tools - Options - Mail Format. I changed mine to "Plain Text" this morning and everything I tried worked. pc was originally set up in "Rich Text".
