Cascade open forms

sitecorp asked
Last Modified: 2012-05-04

i've crearted an mdi project...with multiple child forms. like any thing i want the project to be tidy. so when a child form opens i want to cascade all open form. i know the code for this is frmmain.Arrange vbCascade . however, typical me - nothing is quiet that simple. it appears that some forms must be open/hidden/invisible to the user but these forms are being cascaded tooo making things look unorganised and some forms out of sync. i was wondering is their anyway of only cascading those forms that are visible on screen? if there is i'd be extreemly greatful for your help.

thanks again

Watch Question

You can use the CascadeWindows APi function to cascade windows which you want. just fill in an array with handles to the windows you want to cascade and then pass it to the function

is there anyway of detecting which windows are visible at an instance of the programme. that is the only way i could get the above function to work.
