hi

I am a programmer but fairly weak in OS installation/configuration. Recently I bought a DELL PC which has a harddrive of 40GB and linux was installed in it.  I wanted to install win2000 coexist with it but since  linux has taken the full 40GB, I reformatted it. my plan was to install windows first and then Linux. Then a friend of mine did something with the fdisk and installed win2000 in 10GB leaving the remaining for linux. Now only C: is there which has the full 10GB.

Now I want to use the remaining 30GB also for windows but I dont know how to add it as my D drive.  Can I do that from windows. How do I know what the filesystem is.

thanks in advance
