I have a menu in Dialog based application.
It doesn't support UPDATE_COMMAND_UI
To update the menu items I use
OnKickIdle(WPARAM, LPARAM)
{

}
and update the items inside the function
So,everything looks OK but the application use 50% CPU time because of this aooroach

Can you recommend something better?

Thank you
Alexander

I have a cheat for this.
I create a normal frame window and put the dialog into it as a child in the OnCreate of the frame.  That gives me the normal UI support of the SDI/MDI.

I got the idea from the SDI based app - where if one doesn't mind having a doc doing nothing you can always create an normal SDI doc/view and base the view on CFormView.  What I did above was completely remove the doc from this architechture
