i have this problem, i restarted my server. i restarted it because httpd was responding to requests to it, even though the system showed it was up. it still wont answer requests after the reboot, even though no configs have been changed. i have no virtualhost/directories that may have messed it, and ALL other services are running. the only thing that has changed was the install of coldfusionmx, but it was working before it started going wacky. any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks, JT

Hi JTWolfman,
Are you able to access it from that machine using a browser text based or xwindows? Have you looked in its logs and see if its listing any error messages?

in answer to using browser, no, that is the problem. and to the logs, im sifting threw 10-30 thou lines to check for errors.

Did you try a Local browser on the same machine? Try going to the local host? If you shut down the service and restart then go to the very end of the log you shouldnt have too much to look thru then..
