Just FYI, the reason this is happening is because Exchange needs the GC to run. &nbsp;If Exchange can't run, Outlook can't run. &nbsp;If you move to Outlook 2003, it has an offiline mode that allows Outlook to run even though Exchange is not 'available'

I have 2 x Exchange 2003 servers (native mode) in my site, when I re-boot my domain controller (Windows2000) for maintenance, Outlook stops responding until the server is back up. Is there a way around it? I have an additional domain controller which is also a backup DNS server.
