Hi I just created a home network of two computers. It is set up so that computer 1 is connected to the dsl modem and has a second nic connected that shares the internet to a hub and computer 2 connects to the hub. The problem that I am having is that computer 2 has internet access but cannot browse to all the sites such as mcafee.com and other game and ftp sites. There is no commonality between all the sites that have been tried. I can get to alot of sites on the internet with computer 2 but the sites i realy want to get to I cant. I tried disableing the firewalls in xp doesn't help. I set the address of computer 1 in the dns didn't help. Any Ideas????? Both computers have xp on it. the one that can't view the sites is a brand new dell. they both have AVG on them for virus checkers now that mcafee won't connect. The sites do show up on computer 1 but not computer 2.

I would have only one NIC in each computer. Your DSL connection goes DSL modem to the Hub and the other 2 computer connect to internet through the hub.

Good luck

check the MTU settings on the client(s)
change MTU on client
use drtcp to change the MTU settings
drtcp (free)

If StevenLewis' suggestion doesn't help try pinging a couple of websites that have the problem.  Let us know the results, if you can post the full results here.  Do ou have any type of firewall service on either machine?
