Index X 4
After your astounding efforts of yesterday I opened my site today and started the task of saving the published web site back to FrontPage '02 on my hard drive. I changed my mind once with this after opening a new web, then went back to do it again later this morning.
I noticed that I now have 5 indexes (or is that indeces) in my Web. One is an html, all of the others are identical, except for what I have been prompted to rename them by FP.
Can I just delete all except the html index? And how do I make darn sure that I am dumping the right one?
Thanks for your help.....

And what exactly are the file names?

PER propertiesfiles of each web page:
index.htm
INDEX~1.HTM
INDEX~1.HTM
index2.htm
INDEX3~1.HTM
index.htm
INDEX~1.HTM
INDEX~1.HTM
index2.htm
INDEX3~1.HTM
Just keep index.htm.
Once you've established a stable local and live site - this won't happen anymore. It's just because you're in publishing mode.
But lets keep this open and see what happens - in case something else is going on.
BTW - did you ever use Word documents when you were creating this site?

Got it. No, never used Word, however I did use Microsoft Publisher and Excel in the beginning.
Thanks for the help Sean!

Sorry bout that nasty code stuff. Hopefully, one day I'll have an inkling of the Frontpage knowledge that you posess in your little finger....
Once again, thanks for all of your help!
Now where's that scorecard?

Do you mean "index.html" or index folders?
