Unable to play Videos using WMP9 - Specified protocol not supported

Why can't I play videos through MSN using WMP9?

Every time I select any videos in MSN, it does nothing.
When I try to run a music video, I get error:  WMP cannot play
file, because specified protocol is not supported.

Facts:

Running W2kpro on single user computer
Running IE6, able to connect to Net using cable modem
Applications running:
ZoneAlarm - Firewall protection - disabled it, still does not play.
NortonSystems2001, disabled it, same results.
Popup Ad Blocker - Painicware - disabled it, same results.

Followed suggested steps by WMP9 - see OxC00D11BB, verified
all protocols were checked.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, that did it.

Now it is working fine, now, when I try to install the MSN video enhanced 1.1.3,  I get the
following messages:

Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

"Try to find the installation package 'MSNVideoEnhanced1.1.3[1].msi' in a folder from which you can install MSN Video Enhanced."

The MSN Video Enhanced folder still shows in the Add/Remove programs, so I tried to remove it, but says it can't find
the file.  Tried repairing it, and the message: "can't find this file which is part of the install program."

"C:\Documents and Settings\ken\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KK6SANBJ\"

Can't find this file...tried search on my drive for this, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Can you show me the exact URL you're downloading from ?

If you have the option, do "open file from current location" first.

If it fails, try saving it to disk and installing it.

Above is the URL you requested.

Tried saving it to a cd-rw disk, (g:) and this is what happens:

When I try to intall from disk - get the following message:

Windows Installer

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package
'MSNVideoEnhanced1.1.3[1].msi' in the box below:

C:\Documents and Settings\ken\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KK6SANBJ\

When I hit Browse and select the installation file found on the disk (g:) I get the following:

The file 'G:\MSNVideoEnhanced1.1.3.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product MSN Video Enhanced.  Try to find the installation package'MSNVideoEnhanced1.1.3[1].msi' in a folder from which you can install MSN Video Enhanced.
