How do I make an Input Box in C# and how do I make a null value apply to a Label control in the condition of an If statement?

Hi Miatchguy,

I'm not sure to understand your answer. Are you talking about an input box in a web or window enviroment? ┬┐Why do you want to apply a null value to a label control (web or windows)?. Anyway, i'll assume you are refering to a web enviroment

An input box
--- HTML Code----
<asp:TextBox id="TextBox1" runat="server" />
--- C# Code ----
// declaration. Should match the id of the html code
Sytem.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox Texbox1
// If you want to create the control at runtime:
TextBox myDinamicTextBox = new TextBox();
myDinamicTextBox.Text = "some text"; //set the properties
Page.controls.add(myDinamicTextBox); //Add it to a container, like a Page instance

About the null value of a label, I'll guess that you don't want to show anything. So you can
1) //Set the text to an empty string
yourLabel.Text = "";
2) //or set the visible to false
yourLabel.Visible = false;

If this is not what you were looking for, please clarify the question.

Cheers!

Actually you misunderstood me, this is a windows application, not a web application; and, I wasn't wanting to apply a null value to a label, I wanted to make it a condition in an if statement, like this:

If(Label1.Text = null)
{
Do this stuff
}

Ha Ha Ha, nevermind; I feel like such a fool, I forgot to type ==. I only typed =. But I still need to know how to make an input box.
Miatchguy,
Actually is very similar to a web app. Assuming that your form is called Form1, you would do:

            private void Form1_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
            {
                  TextBox myTextBox = new TextBox();
                  myTextBox.Text ="Created at runtime";
                  this.Controls.Add(myTextBox);
            }
