I've support Bill Gates too long, I need the know how to Install Linux & Install the Drivers.  Basically I am too chicken $#!^ to do this alone... :D  I wanna Format my HD, & start-a-fresh however, with Linux, I know this much, I gotta fdisk & delete my partition, because I am using NTFS, unless Linux has decided to use this format as well...   Please Help!!!

Links alone will be marked as comments/or will have no points given, sorry, I want something for my measily 100 points... :)

Every Linux I've used has been capable of "cleaning" the disk of other partitions. This might require selecting a manual or custom partitioning method during install and how that's done is dependant on what Linux you are installing. Assuming that your Linux can do that all that should be necessary is to delete all existing partitions and then create the ones you want.

If you want to avoid dealing with this during installation one way of doing it is to download a floppy based mini-linux, like the one from http://www.toms.net/rb/ From its command like you can use fdsk to re-partition the system or simply do (assuming your disk is hda (Primary IDE Master)) 'dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda obs=10' to "zap' the partition table.

Ehh, I made my question unclear to some extent.  I'm sorry, I know it really wasn't a question.  What I guess I am needing to know, is what Linux Software is simpliest for a Noobie Linux User? If there is such a thing.  I feel confident with formatting/fdisk as such in Linux (with your comment answer above I am familiar with, however, not a master at it yet :D ).

I wish to install Linux, & attempt to learn this cruelish beast :D, & I wanna teach it to hunt Mr. Gates... Well, that part is a dream, but maybe it'll be a game...  But for now I need to know how the drivers work?!?.  I just need some advice on which one to install I think, then I can run around from there, & hit & miss/mess things up.  Basically, I just want to do away with Windows/MS...

This is my direction Now     <---- ^ ---->   Don't wanna point down, I know I can dig up my windows 3.0 floppies... ;D

All the answers have served me well, the best I feel however was from Paullamhkg, & Geccoman.  I accepted your answer as well Jlevie seeing it will help if I decide to pay some money for support.

Thank you all, & Sorry I couldn't give you all 100 points each, but I only had 125 :D
