Hylafax Windows client could not send fax.

I set up a Linux fax server with RedHat 8.0. Hylafax 4.1.8 and Samba were installed and running well.  I could send fax successfully with the sendfax command at the server.  I downloaded printfax-1.5.0.pl., made the appropriate changes and copied it to /usr/bin as printfax.pl.  The smb.conf has also been appended with the necessary Fax section.

I downloaded response.exe and installed to my W2K PC.  I printed a Word document to the shared Samba Fax printer.  Reponse.exe was triggered and I supplied it with phone no.

Nothing happened then.  I came back to the Linux fax server and entered "faxstat -d".  No new entry was added and no dialing signal was heard.  Any clue?

A suggestion: Use whfc (a link is available on hylafax site) and install it on top of the adobe postscript driver (from adobe's website). It works without fail.
