Report writing and viewing with Crystal vs standard MS Report controls etc.

I emphasise that the reports do not need to be very sophisticated. All the data is stored initially in an Access database (Acc 2000); later in MS SQL maybe. Most unlikely that their will be any legacy or ODBC connectivity required.

Can you summarise the advantages/disadvantages of using Crystal vs the MS Reporting tools that come?

Would just be grateful for a few pointers at this stage.

Yes it does look interesting - what I really wanted to find out though were the pros and cons of using the Crystal Reports VB control vs Microsofts ActiveX report designer control!

Are you the Waty on the website? If so what are the limitations with regard to the databases that ppreview can connect to ?

personally i haven't worked with the access designer, but so far everyone i have heard of recommended crystal. admittedly hearsay though ;-)
