did you go through the safely eject USB media when you took it off the last machine, if you just pulled it, that causes this, I know I nearly lost a two year old database :0(

Sounds strange to me (I pull my disk in and out without 'safely removing' it all the time), what make/model is the disk?

So that is why my memory stick no longer works, eh..??  :)

Actually, I knew this was the reason....   Always stop the device first..!!

Well It did not work to me, cause I did eject the device I still telling me to format.

Frustrated!!!

do a disk check on the device

right-click, properties, tools, error checking

Commented:
and if that doesn't work, format your hard drive and install Linux

Install linux where?

on all of your computers.

I use a 128Mb stick with my Linux box - it works a treat.

I don't think that changing my OS is the solution for my issue....
