Hi all,

I've tried creating the above but I can't seem to figure it out. I need to create SMS collections for my company, one collection for all workstations installed with IE 5.5 (any SP) and one for all workstations installed with IE 6.0 .

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

SMS collections??? What are you actually wanting to know.

Do you want to know how to create a database with a collection of client information on so that it's easily extracted.

Please be a little more specific here.

Hi all,
I've found the answer to my question.

Stevengreen: I do know how SMS collections are created but I was having problems creating collections that look for PCs containing a particular software.

Here's how I did it:

1. Create new collection
2. Set Criteria to be as follows:
select SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_System.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_ADDREMPROGS on SMS_G_System_ADDREMPROGS.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_ADDREMPROGS.DisplayName like "%Internet Explorer 6 SP1%"
3. After that I did the same for IE 5.5
