Hi, i have a Scanjet 5100c Scanner, i bought it w/o cable, and yesterday i bought the "cable", but i bought the wrong one [DB25 Male to DB25 Male], i think i's for File Transfer. I've searched the vast web, but i only see the schematics and wiring for:

Db25 Female to DB25 Male NullModem
Db25 Male to DB25 Male
DB9 Male/Female to DB25 Female/Male and Viceversa.

And other like connections, in fact i want to know which is the proper cable to use with that scanner, or it's wiring or pinout, if anybody have the wiring of a cable that is working on that scanner, please help me, any info will be apreciated :D...

Jean..

This scanner is a parallel port scanner, so a serial cable will not work. You need a parallel cable (one that is marked as  IEEE-1284 compatible). See this page for information from HP: http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/document.jhtml?reg=&lc=en&cc=us&prodId=hpscanjet59305&docName=bps02425&cat=setup
