I have a compac Pentium III system I am using windows xp professional and windows server 2003 enterprise. System has built in sound card ess 1869. It works with windows xp but I can not hear sound from windows server 2003. I tried by enabling sound from administrative task using services but I still don't get the sound. I even could not get the system sounds.<br />

Sound does not work

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server.
