Deleteing unlinked files from the server

Hi there.
I have previously done a web site without frontpage, but had to use FP (FP2000) to upload to the server. (It was the only access I have)
The original files where all with the .html extension.
I have now produced a new site and uploaded it which all works fine, but the original files are still up there and I need to remove them.

However I cannot seem to access the not web files to delete them. Is this possible?
I presume this is something daft.
Also, what is "Frontpage Explorer". Is it a part of FP of another application hidden somewhere?
Thanks in advance

When you upload - does FP not ask you if you want to delete them?  You can go to file - publish web & change the permissions there.  That way, FP will delete the files that are not on the destination server.

You can also sign onto your web site via FP: go to file -> Open Web -> http://www.yourdomain.com & open.

Here is a pretty good definition of FP explorer:  http://www.accessfp.net/frontpageexplorer.htm

FP doesn't ask to delete them because they were not on my new web sites FP web folder to start with.
I can upload no problem, but when I try to access it via open web it denies me access for some strange reason.

Also, where do I find Frontpage explorer?

But you said you uploaded using FP.  It did not matter that you created the HTML files with another editor.  When you go to File - Publish - you should see something there with the options.  That button will give you some options on how to delete the files from your server.

You can go to View - Folder list. That should help you.
