Preventing NDR notifications
Our email server is getting crushed by the volume of email it is currently processing.
We have exchange 2003 setup, and it receives about 40,000 emails a day to non-existant email addresses at our domain. Of course the server responds with an NDR reply for each one. This seems like such a useless thing, it is bad enough we have so much CPU power & bandwidth to receive the emails then we turn around and send a reply (often to a non existant domain name).
How can we disable the NDR reports in exchange for non existant email addresses?
