Networking with out network card in XP

I have two P3 computer in my home ,both are running on Windows xp and i want to know, is it possible to make network between both pc without using network card? and please give me a answer in step by step way?

Hi sabirebrahim,
It's possible to connect two PC's with usb or serial cable. You can use the network setup wizard and choose this network type when the wizard asks. It should lead you all the way.
