When using chooser to access an appleshared Windows 2000 share, it takes approx 40-60 seconds of "VERIFYING" on a "connection Status" window before the username / password prompt comes up.

how do i make it much faster ?

I have another 2000 server doing it pretty much instantly but i cannot remember how i did it.

Thanks in advance.

One server takes 40-60 seconds, and one does it instantly? Might be a Q for the windows folks. Sounds like the configuration has to take place on the server end.

Do you know what the "Verify" during the connection status is doing ?

I'll move this query to the windows area asap.

Thanks Weed.

Not sure. Probably just making sure the server is actually there and is in fact an appleshare volume.
