Public folder as a POP account: is it feasable?

I am wondering if a public folder can be accessed as a standard pop account.

The purpose would be to let users receiving spam mails (which would not have been tagged as spam ) to drag and drop them to a PF.

A scheduled task (crontab in Unix world)  would connect to the PF, download them in a unix mailbox and would be used as spam feeders to a unix antispam platform (spamassassin).

We are running, E2K and E5.5 in a mixed mode. PF would be created on E2K (or on E5.5 and replicated with ADC to E2K).

Users use OL2000 on PCs or any IMAP compatible mail client on *nu*x

It is possible to address a message to a public folder, if that's what you mean. I guess you would then use a rule to achieve what you are trying to do.
To find the address, right clickon the folder, choose properties, click the summary tab and click to add the folder address to your personal address book. Now it will be listed in contacts

I know I can send a mail to a PF. The goal is to access its content from a unix machine using POP protocol to download the content to a unix mailbox. There is no OL involved in recovering mails from the PF
I cant forward them using a scripting agent to a unix mailbox as the smtp header will be modified and would change the spamasassin learning process.
