There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

I am having trouble accessing resources on a trusted domain. Basically we have three 2000 based domains all running AD. Domain "Hotels" can access all permitted resources in domains "Insurance" and "Group". Domain users in "Insurance" can access the internet via an Isaserver in domain "Group"  (hence they are being recognised/authenticated) but, domain "Group" can ONLY access permitted resources on the domain "Insurance" main AD Domain controller - when you try to access resources on anything else in domain "Insurance" whether it be PC, member server, backup DC - you get the "no logon servers" message.

The AD DC in "Group" has a secondary DNS zone copied from the AD DC in "Insurance" and it also acts as a WINS server replicating with the AD DC in "Insurance".

Any ideas ?

The problem here is possibly WINS entries

You need to make sure there is a relevant 1b and 1c entry for each PDCemulator in each domain on all your WINS servers

Check your LMHosts files on all DCs to make sure you don't have any spurious entries
