Respawing mplayer2.exe system process

Recently I have clicked on some plug-ins while surfing the web...
I think i installed some malware onto my computer...

After running norton antivirus 2004 and ad-aware 6, I thought I have removed all the spywares and malwares on my computer after the incident...

However, today, I saw some surprising situation on my computer
I usually take a random look at what processes is running on my computer by pressing ctrl+alt+del

But then I saw a "mplayer2.exe" in the processes' list in the taskmanager window
I decided I should close it by terminating the process (since I am not watching any movies or clips at the moment)

But things get interesting, the mplayer2.exe respawned in like 10 secs everytime after I terminate it in the system process

Does anyone know the cause of it?? any spyware or virus associated with this attribute??
Thanks in advance

there's just something comes up in my mind now
i just want to share it to see if it helps

will this respawning mplayer2.exe cause by that i have accidently terminate some useful processes??

cuz i remember that last night i have shutted down some applications that i "thinks" is useless... i have been testing out and try to see if their are useless process that I can shut down

today, i restarted my comp and i found the that respawning mplayer2.exe is no longer a program... then i went online and check the name of every processes that are running...

then i come across MsPMSPSv.exe, i think i have closed this one before
i got a description online saying

mspmspsv - mspmspsv.exe - Process Information
Process File: mspmspsv or mspmspsv.exe
Process Name: WMDM PMSP Service
Description: Helper service installed by Windows Media Player 7. The service allows Windows Media Player to support the SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) protocol when copying CDs or packaging copyrighted downloaded music to SDMI-compliant music players and storage devices.
Company: Microsoft Corp.
System Process: No
Security Risk ( Virus/Trojan/Worm/Adware/Spyware ): No
Common Errors: N/A

i was just wondering can this respawning mplayer2.exe cause by unexpected termination of mspmspsv.exe??
