Do you know of a subscription service that maps all us based ISP internet address spaces (ie. AOL = 169.0.0.0, or UUNET = 175.13.0.0)

Down on the lower right (WHOIS Resources) are links to the various IP assignment registries...  Just type in the IP, and the registered owner for the IP address will appear.  No subscription necessary.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

A conundrum, to be sure...  I posted my comment as an admin comment so that I wouldn't be able to receive pts (since as a PE I've pretty much moved beyond the need for pts), and to encourage awarding pts to other more needy contributors - however since I am the only contributor, this poses a problem.  I do think this should go into the PAQ (rather than be deleted) since I haven't seen a similar question like this one for a while, but I don't really need pts - on the other hand, giving this some sort of significant pt value might indicate to other users of the PAQ that this was a solution worth reviewing (when I search the PAQ, I tend to pay more attention to higher-valued questions as they tend to draw more contributions and discussion).

So, I am reducing the pts to 100 and accepting my answer (since you seemed to find my suggestion reasonable).

I hope this is acceptablwe to you.

Cheers,
-Jon
