how does href=cid work? I recieved an email(junk) with link that uses cid, I tried to search internet, but couldn't find.

I found that this is used by the NETSKY.P virus. The link points to another part of the unshown MIME attachment (the mal code part). I could not see what happened until I saved the mail as .msg and then opened it with a text editor... hidden in the normally invisible MIME multipart attachment was the text notification that my company AV had stripped the virus off.
So the short answer is it links to another part of the attachment.
