Have you tried the  Folder List navigation button to show all the folders?

... it should be at the bottom of the Navigation pane.

nope, i do not see anything for public folders there.  the only way i can see the public folder is to go to GO -> Folder -> and select public folders.  but the public folders go away if you cahnge to contacts or calendar.

"Outlook 2003 defaults to a mail folder only view. To show the folder list, click on the -folder- button at the bottom of the navigation pane. You can add Public Folders to the Favorite Folder list if they are in the Public Folder favorites-right click on the folder in Public Folder Favorites and choose add to Favorite Folders."

it won't let me add it to favorites, that part is grayed out.  but at least i can click on the "folder" button. i just have to figure out how my users will handle it.  as you know with 1000's of users there are many that will have trouble with this.

I believe that each public folder has to be added to the Favorites.  There is a bug that you cannot add a public folder that contains a couple 1,000 folders to the favorites though
