Change Contact Phone Number Descriptions

On the general tab of a contact in Outlook 2002, there are 4 places for phone numbers.  Clicking on the down arrow I can change the designation of the phone number from stuff like Business, Business 2, Car, Company, Home, Home 2, etc...

I would like to know how I can either add my own descriptions to this list, or (if possible) change the names of these descriptions.

Greetings Mourdekai,
When you're viewing a contact, you're on the General Tab.
Click the All Fields tab
In the Select From drop down, choose
Phone Number Fields
Then simply click the New button at the bottom...

     I have tried that, but it doesn't add it to the list that I can choose on the general tab.  Is there a way to do this?  Or alternatively is there a way of formatting the Address Card view to include my user-defined fields?

You should be able to click View/Current View/Customize Current View
Click Fields
and then select User-Defined fields from the "Select available fields from" drop down list in the bottom left.

Now the left column list should display your field - hit the Add-> button to place it on the right side...
