How to create a parent window and child

hi  i am new in java i trying to do an application in java and i want to create a the main window and to load letter on some windows inside the main window.
If you have an example it will be really helpfull i am really lost

What do you mean by 'letter'? Do you just want labels or do you mean to say that you will display some e-mail messages or file-content?
