Cluster/NLB: Do I have to mirror IIS settings?

Hi

If I setup a cluster (or use NLB for my web servers), do I have to somehow mirror the IIS settings onto each machine (2 web server machines) or do I have to enter in the data for, say, setting up a new web site, on box the machines ie. twice the work? Or does the cluster or NLB software handle this?

Thanks in advance.

The Network Load Balancing service does not replicate data between nodes in the cluster. This is intentional as NLB doesn't only support IIS.

You can download Microsoft's free Robust File Copy utility Robocopy.exe and script/schedule 'replication' or you could buy a third party application like Sunbelt Software's DoubleTake (www.sunbelt-software.com).
