pst files from outlook 03 to outlook 02

I have a user trying to import a pst file that was created in outlook 2000 then he was upgraded to outlook03 now he wants to send that pst file to another user that is using outlook 2000 the user still using outlook 2000 can not open the pst file it tells him he does not have permissions is there someplace to check or change permissions on a pst file?

Outlook 2003 uses a pst file format that is not compatible with earlier versions:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=830336&product=out2003

Can you perhaps export it in another format such as CSV and then import it?

yea!! after he copied it from the cd had him change from "read only" and import into a personal folder on the desktop email.  thank you
