Printing issue

Added a printer to a windows 2000 professional pc.Shared it on the network but when i try to add it to other pcs it keeps asking for a passord to access the resource.I have added users etc but it still comes up with this.Any help much appreciated.

Did you add the users with the same password they use on their machine on the pc with the printer?

In the computer that you attached with the printer, click the printer's properties, under security tab, check the users who share the printer.
