This is not life threatening, death defying... hell, its just irritating..... I want to be rid of the following issue:

Win2K, IE6.... blah, blah, blah.... when I boot up the system, after the password, my desktop flashes the previous background... ie... I had an Image of Emmylou Harris prior to the current (Hubble space scene if you must know). the screen flashes the EmmyLou background for a bit, they lays down the Hubble image as it should

/ I have gone thru the system with a fine toothed comb, deleted all EL Harris images, looked at every GIF, JPG, BMP to find any others...... nada

/ I want to know, does Win2K keep prior images hidden in some friggin cave

inquiring minds gotta know

thanks,
bill

I think the image is associated to "All users" and not your user.

The quickest and easiest way I have changed this background is to open your new/current background in Internet Explorer and right click on it and click "Set As Background."

There is a registry fix for it I am sure but hey, what works, works.
