What OS is the Macintosh running?
What OS hosts the "network drive"?

The MAC is running OS X. A Windows 2k computer will host the network drive.

For Mac OS 9, you will want to use Thursby's DAVE product to
integrate classic Mac OS into a Windows network.

Just create an alias for the network drive once you have connected to it.
