Linking a hyperlink to a named Excel cell

How do I create a hyperlink that links to a specific cell in an Excel spreadsheet? I am only able to do it if I use the cell number, not if I assign a specific name to a cell.

Like this:

<a href="myworkbook.xls#mylink">Sheet 3, Column A</a> ... where A1 has the name "mylink"

My method was right but I was linking it to the wrong document.

Your information was fine but I didn't have to add the sheet or column information to make it work.
