JSP HTTP server request client!

I am currently writing code in VB script the uses the WinHttpRequest object!  This object allows me to send requests to a server on the web and navigate a web page to ultimately download a file using HTTP!  It allows me to automate the process of downloading a file so that some one does not have to do the entire process manually!

I was wondering If anyone knew of a JavaBean or any thing that is compareable to the WinHttpRequest client that I can use in a JSP.
