Impromptu reports with .NET?

Hi Yall,
I have an .NET application which passes user selected parameters into a Crystal Report using a link. The report is brought up in a PDF within the browser window. The application uses an Oracle db.
Would it possible to call an impromptu report in this same way? I'm most interested in just being able to pass impromptu paramenters thru a link, not so much how it comes up after that. Any suggestions
Thanks

Yes Im wondering if Cognos Impromptu web reports (IWR) or Report Net can do what I need. I need to be able to pass from vb.net dynamically selected parameters to the report, maybe thru a link.

I did it with script. You can generate script from VB with parameters and then call impromptu report

Here si an example of a script

'IMR Reports
'Balance Sheet 2_2_8.imr
CatalogLocation = "F:\CognosApps\AR ATB\Catalog\ATB Reporting.CAT"
FileName = "F:\CognosApps\AR ATB\reports\Balance Sheet  2_2_8.imr"
Set ImpAppObject = CreateObject("Impromptu.Application")
ImpAppObject.OpenCatalog CatalogLocation, "Creator", "UserName", "UserPwd"
ImpAppObject.Visible 1
set ImpRepObject = ImpAppObject.Openreport (FileName)
'Print the report (FromPage, ToPage, Copies)
ImpRepObject.Print ,,1
ImpRepObject.CloseReport
ImpAppObject.Quit

write the txt file with a script. Include your params there and save this file as .vbs file

THen execute the vbs file (System.Diagnostic.....)
