I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm not really expert in this field but i think you might find that clustering implementation is quite app server-specific

Also, depending on how you define 'J2EE'  (sometimes it's taken to included servlet engines, and of course similar clustering principles apply) here's another:

What exactly do you need?
J2EE clustering is not really defined. THe only thing defined in the spec is the <distributable/> tag in web.xml.
You might have better understanding reading about JBoss and WebLogic Server clustering abilities, how they perform EJB clustering, JMS and so on.
