When you use ADO components to view Access Databases, do you need to purchase a separate license for these components or are they free to use?

Also, is it necessary to have Office installed to use ADO components to manage an Access Database?

Many thanks in advance!

mdac can be downloaded free from microsoft,
an app which uses ado must not be licensed.

depending on the database you used,
the databse must be licensed (mssql for ex.).

a deploy of an mdb file must not be licensed.
