Can you remove the data from a printed email at the bottem?

One of my friends needs to print an email with out the date showing on the print out?

I tried messing with the footer in the print settings but can' figure it out.  anyone know how to do this for sure.

Please don't refer me to a link.  500 points to the winner.

open an email so that it opens in a new window
go to file --> page setup --> define print styles
click on "memo style" and press "edit"

ASKER

Define Print Styles is shaded out
ok now close that window in which the email has been opened
go to main outlook window

now go to file --> pagesetup and check if print styles is not shaded out

do you have  a printer installed properly ?
I can get to it that way.  Printers are installed fine.

when I look at those options from the main window I can edit the items.  but when I do it form an email it only give me the memo view.  I removed the header and footer information and that doesn't seem to have an effect.

going there are you able to edit "memo style" and remove all the options in the footer and still do you get date at the bottom
Ok, if someone sends me an email using "text" format not HTML it will work fine.  but if I get an HTML email which is 95% of all my emails, I can't get it to work following the same steps.

Can you send yourself an email with text format.

I can send you but if the issue is solved , it would get the unfair advantage by helping you offline.. Try send a message in text format yourself and check first and later we can see
It works fine if it is a text message.   but html's still show the date.

Hey try doing this

go to Internet explorer .go to file --> pagesetup and remove all settings from footer
now check the html email in outlook
it is already gone.  there is nothing in the footer area.
there is no date at the bottem of the page.  so it works there.
So you are in IE  . you dont see anything in the footer and now you try to print from outlook still you are getting the date .. weird..
SO it works in IE and not in Outlook ?
this is correct
