Hello,
I am createing an ASP webite using MS SQL with Dreamweaver MX, The database is built and I connect successfully... yaaaa!

I can build this whole website with dreamweaver, its fairly simple, add, modify and delete with some file uploading.

The only issue i have is server side validations, I dont want to totally  rely on javascript for form validation. Is their any way to do server side validations with dreamweaver, or will I have to hand code this in after I have built the pages.

Whether or not you can I would STRONGLY recommend hand coding server side validation yourself.  In general DW tends to write client side (i.e. javascript) validation - and that is inefficient.  I would cringe to see what server side validation it wrote for you.

You would be much better off writing server side validation yourself.

hehe,
ok, i can write simple ones and have some more complex ones in my code library, I may have to just do that. I was just wondering if dreamwaever could, because i have never used it or knew if it could be done.

I dont even use dreamweaver's javascript validations, they are s.....   lol, .

I.m going to keep this thread open and see what other feedback I get

Okay but since you already know about DW's javascript validations, what would you expect from any server side ones?  ;o)

On another note - if you do have problems writing ones by hand you can post here or in the ASP topic area and get detailed help on any that give you trouble.
