Java new-b questions ....

Hi Experts,

    I just installed J2EE SDK 1.4..... reading the tutorial.... trying to see the examples in the tutorial.... but but .... can NOT find those examples ...

   e.g. <INSTALL>/j2eetutorial14/examples/xml/samples/

   can anyone please tell me where to get the <INSTALL> folder or directory ?

<INSTALL> should be the place where the  J2EE SDK 1.4 is installed... Try to search on your computer this directory j2eetutorial14

err .............. so is <INSTALL> a directory ? because in the install directory, I only see another 3 folders :
applications, databases, templates ..... I still can not find the examples ...... what did I miss here ? thanks !

meow, I think you might be looking for the 'samples' directory. However, the samples directory does not contain the directory in your question, netiher does any directory in the J2EE 1.4 install.

If you click the link provided by fave_17, you'll be able to download the J2EE 1.4 tutorial. It is contained in a zip file, and you will have to expand the zip file into your C:\Sun\AppServer directory. Once you've done that, you will have the directory you're looking for! =-)
