I have to create a database schema from an Access database in Vb.Net. I need to get the field names, max. length, description, validation rules, required etc for all fields in all tables in the mdb.

Please provide me the solution as needed.

Thanks in advance.

use a dataadapter... link it to the particular MDB table

then use Dataadapter.fillschema(DataTablebName)

This will create a table with the same schema as found in the MDB

To write this schema to a file which you can then view in IE use the Dataset.WriteXMLSchema to just get the Schema or Dataset.WriteXML(Filestream, XMLWriteMode.WriteSchema) to get the Data and the Schema.
